The Kingston KVR1066D3N7/4G is the largest Single Stick of memory in the PC3-8500 Kingston Value Range.  Being 4GB in size it can have the disadvantage of not being compatible with all motherboards, care should be taken to check if your motherboard will support 4GB per memory slot before purchasing.  If so it is an extremely reliable memory and easily expandable with the addition of more of the same or one of the other kits in the range.    This DDR3 memory is also available as a Dual and Triple Channel Kit under the part numbers KVR1066D3N7K2/8G and KVR1066D3N7K3/12G.

Our Review
We were able to test the KVR1066D3N7/4G with both an AMD and Intel CPU setup on ASUS motherboards. They are a simple plug and play setup, no software installation required and both motherboards recognised the memory in full at boot up. Their performance was as expected, a big increase on the DDR2 predecessor but nothing to write home about on a DDR3 level. There are many manufacturers making memory to this spec, most with the same reliability, so it is more a choice of which name you want on your memory now as oppossed to picking a "quality" brand. These are a simple to install, well packaged and an easy to find option, the benefit of Kingston is that if you needed to upgrade in a years time it won't be too hard to find the same Memory.

Other Reviews
Craig SI have had these for a couple of years now and they have never given me any trouble. I use the 8GB Kit on a Gigabyte motherboard with Windows 7 Ultimate.
Sandra BestI bought a system from a local PC Shop and it has 3 of these in it, one went faulty in the first month but it was hassle free getting it replaced under warranty. They have since been running perfectly and I would recommend Kingston all the time.
Mark WilliamsI cannot fault this memory, although I would say if you are thinking of it and your motherboard is fairly new then go for the faster speeds, they will be just as compatible only faster and if you look around for the same price too. These and their faster counterparts are perfect on ASUS motherboards, in all my time building systems I have never had a single problem.
Amy DThe 3GB Kit was fine in my system until I upgraded to Win7 after which it needed more memory. I would not recommend going for less than the 4GB if you want to use Windows 7.
