Samsung Kids Store Receives An Update

Samsung have released an update to its Kids Store which is available in Kids Mode on their Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Tab S. The mode is designed to stop children from accessing unwanted or mature content and will not allow them to purchase paid apps without entering a password.

The Kids Store offers 900 specially selected applications aimed just at children which including LEGO, Pocoyo and Tipitap, as well as educational content such as Agnitus, Little Bridge English and Creative Corner. The Kids Store is now available in 150 countries worldwide.

Commenting on the update Rob Orr, Vice President, IT & Mobile division at Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland said, “with research from Futuresource Consulting revealing that 35% of children aged between 3 and 12 now own a tablet, it looks like these devices are set to be the primary entertainment gadget over the summer holidays. Samsung is committed to providing interesting and educational content to children, while continuing its effort to help parents protect their children and allow them to enjoy safe, parent-approved content.”
