Ultra High Definition (UHD)
Amongst the monitors on show will be their latest Ultra High Definition (UHD) monitor, the UD590. This 28 inch monitor utilises the latest 4K technology and has four times the resolution of a standard FHD monitor. For use with Multimedia or Gaming applications it provides a perfectly smooth experience without any blurring or ghosting.

Other features of this monitor include.
  • A Response Time of 1ms
  • 60Hz Refresh Rate (DP1.2 60Hz, HDMI 1.4 30Hz)
  • 1000:1 Contrast Ratio
  • Picture in Picture technology
  • UHD Up Scale and Game Mode

For those of you not quite ready for the 4K experience, or thinking that a 28 inch monitor just doesn't justify it, Samsung will also be showcasing HD alternatives as well including the SD590, SD390 and SD360. These monitors have a HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and have both D-sub and HDMI inputs.

Phil Gaut, General Manager, Samsung Display, UK and Ireland said about the new monitors “We’re excited to showcase our latest monitors with our partners and distributors here at the Samsung European Forum. Our new lineup meets the increasing demand from both consumers and businesses that are seeking the highest resolution, improved picture quality, unique designs and the best multimedia for entertainment.”

NFC and Wi-Fi Direct
As well as monitors Samsung will also be showcasing two new laser printers ranges. The mono laser printer Xpress M2880 series and colour laser printer Xpress C1860 series both combine NFC and Wi-Fi Direct technologies which enable easy mobile printing for SMB users.

Using these technologies users will be able to tap their smartphones on the printers to easily and securely print pictures, documents, e-mails and web content.

These new ranges both support mobile printing via Samsung’s mobile print app which is available for free from App Stores like Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Users will also be able use Google Cloud Print to print whatever they want from wherever they are.

Mark Ash, General Manager for Print, Samsung Electronics (UK) said regarding the new printers “These new printing solutions push the boundaries of innovation in the industry. Last year, we demonstrated leadership in advanced mobile printing technologies by releasing the world’s very first NFC printer. This year we’ll continue to focus on providing easy, user-oriented technologies. Today, we are expanding our NFC line-up to include high speed printers that support professional and business users.”
