Dell OEM Solutions and Aculab Partnership to Reduce Leads Times

Dell OEM Systems have announced that Aculab, a leading provider of telephony products to the global communications market has partnered with them to produce server platforms for Aculabs GroomerII gateway appliance.

Dell will be shipping the Dell PowerEdge R720t servers to Aculab already fitted with a custom front bezel which means that Aculab will only have to install their GroomerII software and ship out to their customers.

Benefits
The overall benefits of such a streamlined partnership will enable Aculab to cut their lead times from approximately 20 weeks to 6 days for new customer installations. Also, as part of Dell's IT Lifecycle Management Service, Dell will be managing component change and upgrades to make sure that customers of Aculab do not experience any performance issues.

The partnership with Dell provides Aculab with server lifecycle control as well as a fully Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) compliant platform, which is critical for our telecom customers in the US that are using GroomerII to support 911 emergency services and to handle calls originating in fixed and mobile Signalling System 7 networks.”
