Blackberry 10 Smartphones for Banking Giant Itaú Unibanco

Blackberry have announced that Brazilian banking giant Itaú Unibanco will be upgrading their currently 7000 plus Blackberry Smartphones to Blackberry 10 Smartphones this year.

The first wave of this upgrade will be 1000 Blackberry Q5 Smartphones using Blackberry OS version 10.2.1. As part of the upgrade they will also be changing to BES10 to help increase security and protect client and corporate data.

BES10 Platform
Blackberry's BES10 platform is an multi platform and fully integrated solution that securely manages BlackBerry, iOS and Android mobile devices. It focuses on providing the highest security levels and as such has made it extremely popular with more than 30,000 BES10 commercial and test servers worldwide.

Itaú Unibanco
Itaú Unibanco are one of the worlds largest banks and are based in Brazil. They have 32.5 million credit card accounts in Brazil alone and 32,891 branches with 95,700 employees worldwide.

Blackberry are a global leader in Wireless communication devices whose headquarters are based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The company was founded by Mike Lazaridis and they are best known for their Blackberry Smartphones and the Playbook Tablet, although they also produce software for businesses including the Blackberry Operating System.
