Intel at Mobile World Congress, February 24th – 27th 2014, Barcelona, Spain

Intel have announced that it aims to transform mobile experiences, services and infrastructure at this years Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, due to be held between February 24th and 27th, 2014.

Twin Booths
Held at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, Spain, Intel will have two booths. Firstly they will be in Hall 3, Booth #3D30 and the second one will be Intel in App Planet, Hall 8.1, Booth #8.1E41

Demonstrations and Conferences
During the four day event Intel will be hosting a number of events including demonstrations of its latest.
  • 64-bit capable Intel Atom powered Tablets and Smartphones
  • Intel's 4G LTE-Advanced solutions
  • Wearable reference designs
  • All the latest 2 in 1's
  • Mobile security devices
They will also be holding a Press Conference on the opening day from 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. featuring both Intel President Renée James and Hermann Eul, corporate vice president and general manager of the Mobile and Communications Group. The conference will highlight Intel's strategy within the Mobile Communications market and will also feature the next era of computing – the Internet of Things.

Non Stop
Immediately following the Press Conference Intel will be hosting a mobile software tools breakout session for technical media and developers. This will start at 10:30 a.m. and will continue through to 12:00 p.m. where Intel will be providing both updates and demonstrations of their latest mobile software development tools designed for use with Windows, Android and Tizen.

Looking to the Future
At Fira, Hall 3, Booth #3D30, Intel's industry experts and executives will be looking at the future of mobile. Topics will include 5G (that's right 5 not 4), wearable technology, mobile security and more.

App Planet
Intel's App Planet features will highlight applications for both Windows and Android and will also have a 'Geek Counter' where you can bring your own code and test it on numerous Intel powered devices.

Intel are an American multinational Design and Manufacturing company founded in 1968 and are currently the largest semiconductor chip manufacturer. They are most well known for their ranges of Desktop PC Processors and also Mobile and Server Processors although they also produce Solid State Drives and Motherboards for the retail sector.
