Blackberry New Executive Appointments, James S. Mackey and Mark Wilson.

Blackberry have announced two new executive appointments, firstly James S. Mackey has been appointed Executive Vice President for Corporate Development and Strategic Planning. Secondly, Mark Wilson was named Senior Vice President of Marketing.

James S. Mackey history
Previously he has served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Open Text Corp, as well as head of Corporate Development at SAP. In this role he ran the Company’s global mergers and acquisitions group, completing more than 40 acquisitions.

Mark Wilson history
Mark will be joining blackberry in January 2014, he is currently CMO for Avaya. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Field Marketing at Sybase and has also held marketing roles at both AT&T and KPMG.

An interesting pair of additions, with Mark Wilson's history in branding and advertising this could be just the boost that Blackberry need especially after the latest financial results were released.

Blackberry are a global leader in Wireless communication devices whose headquarters are based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The company was founded by Mike Lazaridis and they are best known for their Blackberry Smartphones and the Playbook Tablet, although they also produce software for businesses including the Blackberry Operating System.
