Sony Showcase new $30,000 4K Short Throw Projector at CES 2014

Sony are showcasing their newest addition to their ever expanding home theatre options at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2014) in Las Vegas. The Ultra Short Throw Projector is designed to display a 4K Ultra High-Definition image of up to 147-inches on any unused space.

Ease of Use
The Projector has been designed so that it requires no special installation, simply place it near the wall you want to display on, plug in and enjoy. It is designed to blend in with your current home decor, most will remember that early projectors were ugly, noisy beasts, a lot of which were hung from the ceiling 20 feet from where they were projecting.

Connectivity
This new projector is capable of being used to display content from numerous devices and comes complete with 4 x HDMI inputs, 2 Speaker Terminals, RJ45 connection, IR IN and USB. It has the ability to display video content services from IP, satellite or cable providers as well as 4K content from Video Unlimited 4K and Netflix. You can also plug in your 4K Sony Handycam.

Price
Although this new projector is not yet ready for commercial release it is expected later in the third and fourth quarters of 2014 and will carry an expected price tag of between $30,000 and $40,000.
